al gore's hand
Last Tuesday, I shook Al Gore’s hand after his talk on global warming. Yes, Grandma, I know what party he’s in. But ya know—the truth don’t care what your political affiliation is.
He came to our fair city to talk about global warming; in fact, he played a double-header to a packed house. That’s a pair of two-hour presentations back to back, mind you. Observations:
- Who is this guy, and what did he do with the Al Gore of 2000? My gosh! On Tuesday, Gore was passionate, humorous, approachable, and, well, downright Presidential. What gives?
- Dude was in absolute mastery of the facts.
- Global warming isn’t a left issue or a right issue. It’s everyone’s issue. So let’s fix it and get back to squabbling over the budget.
